The Movie Soundtrack thread

Spark's statement "turned man against man" in the movie discussion thread reminded me of this song

Rocky 4 Survivor Burning Heart Rocky and Drago Training - YouTube

and I realized that some of the best music over the years has been made for movies.

I thought this deserved a thread of its own.

So folks what are some of the movie soundtracks that you have liked over the years....

Of composed soundtracks, Dug 28 Days Later, epic. Also a big fan of when rock/solo muso's turn their hand to movie soundtracks like Dead Man, There Will Be Blood and The Lovely Bones.

The Matrix soundtrack is great for background noise.

Definitely a good call that one. A heady mix of some of the best tracks over 30 years. I do tend to find a lot of Vietnam war films tend to have great soundtracks. I'll have to have a think back to try recall specific films though.

For some reason, I've had the theme tune from The Mission in my head lately; despite not having seen the film for about 10 years. This is mildly disturbing.
