It is impossible to change the Gun Law in US. I do not see this happening in my lifetime.

Must say though, all the Sikh friends I know are the coolest people ever. Its a tragic loss of life.

Someone said the following and I posted on my FB post:

"I was gonna post something that would tell you the difference between Hindus, and Sikhs and Muslims but I realized you don't need to know about somebody's religion to know that you shouldn't shoot them" Eric Parsons

Really liked it the way he put it.

Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Seriously wtf? Has become too easy in america for every deranged or depressed/frustrated person to pick up a gun and start shooting around.

Under the Bush adminstration, several federal level gun bans were either not extended (the Clinton-era Assault Weapons Ban, back-flipping after campaigning on extending the ban in 2000: USATODAY.com - Federal ban on assault weapons expires) or gutted using the age-old tactic of getting your guys in so they can do your dirty work (Roberts and Alito appointments resulting in D.C. vs Heller and Chicago vs McDonald), resulting in the ruling, as unconstitutional, gun bans in District of Columbia and Chicago. The NRA said before 2001 election that they would have an office in the West Wing and they weren't kidding.

Obama campaigned on reinstating the gun ban but since being elected, has made no such moves in that direction, one of quite a few things he's been an utter political wuss about. Romney is a lifetime NRA member so duh what he thinks. The last decade has been an utter boon for pro-gun types in the US and there's no indication from either side of the aisle of any change. Christ if a congresswoman getting shot in the ****ing head in public, a political slam-dunk turned down after a jumped-up neighbourhood watch guy kills a 17-year-old boy and the recent spate of shootings doesn't spark a flicker in the we-should-stop-this-****-o-meter, nothing will.

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta. Boom.

"Oh but criminals prefer unarmed targets!"

Yeah 'cause you're definitely going to have time to whip out yours and fire back once they've already shot you dead.

Whatever you do, don't discuss gun control. Because guns don't kill people, ****ing ghosts do.

Same reaction. I really have no idea how to deal with such madness.
