Sen. Manchin: I Don't Know Any Hunter Who Uses An Assault Rifle - YouTube

If it passes, it might only be a ban on any NEW purchases. Might be a big run on the assault weapons (AKs, etc)

Nah, it's pretty silly. Take the previous shooting in the cinema in Aurora - the guy threw a smoke grenade and was wearing a gas mask (along with a bulletproof vest). If more people are armed, then you've got 5 people shooting in a smoke-filled cinema full of startled people instead of just one. Only going to end in more harm.

Edit: When you've got professionally trained policemen managing to wound nine bystanders to kill one guy, think of what's going to happen when you allow every passerby to have a shot too.

So, your logic is that having untrained people, who tend to miss a lot, shooting guns in a bad situation will result in more injuries/death?

This is apparently the case in Israel.

Most of these ****s who go on these rampage killings are on some sort of medication. Maybe the US needs to investigate their treatment and see what is going wrong there. Nowadays doctors manage this sort of stuff with medication rather than looking at a cure. So if someone is stressed at work or in other aspects of their life, what is needed is a change in lifestyle and not meds.

Yeah, honestly they've admitted in the past the only reason they attend funerals is for the press. Ideally, the press would also kinda **** off from the funerals but, since they won't, this'll just keep on occurring.

That said, you don't see them protesting at Mafia funerals.

Not everybody will seek help, not will they even know that they have a problem in some cases.

When you look to manage risk it is a case of Severity and Risk. So whilst the medical method may reduce risk with population as large as the US these things will still occur. Restricting access to high powered weapons is a common sense way to reduce the severity of these incidents.

I wonder would they have a utility belt that held their board markers, duster, and gun? Can see them panicking when the gunman bursts through the door, shooting the board and the drawing the **** out of the guy.
