This is part of a joint ECB-ACB initiative to prevent armadillos from interrupting Ashes games wherever they be held in the future.

However, it does nothing to address the problem caused by moles.

These small, almost perfectly round creatures originate from Solihull, Warwickshire, but are also found in places as distant as Griqualand West.

Not seen in the UK since 1997, there are rumours that one was spotted in Argentina in 1993

(see pic)

although it is difficult to determine if this was the effect of a true mole or a lynching
