CW Short Story Competition

Here is an opportunity for you to practice your creative writing skills. I am looking for some peeps to enter a short story competition right here on CW.

Stories must be minimum 500 words up to 2000 words.

You will have 4 weeks to write your story.

To the winner goes the title CW short story champion and you will get your story published in this thread.

You will email your completed story to crossfirehurricane@windowslive.com

I am also looking for 2-3 volunteer judges. Judges will receive the stories from me with the author names replaced by random numbers to avoid any bias in the judging. After they have finished judging they will be told who wrote each story.

Please respond in this thread indicating if you are in. Or if you would like to be a Judge.

Once we have a minimum number of entrants I will announce the deadline and announce the competition as started.

Rules

Must be your own work. Although you can make quotes of books if they don't exceed 5% of the word count.

Yes you can brush off an old story you have written for another purpose. So long as you do brush it up a bit for this competition.

Topic Choice - you can pick anything you want.

Between 500-2000 words. Please include your word count in your covering email.

Once we have our entrants I will publish the scoring guide that I want the judges to use.

Any disputes or other rulings will be settled by myself in consultation with the judges.

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
