Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

If the quality is high (haha) then we should publish the top 3 at least. Don't want any worthy ones to go unseen.

a) I am going to leave this open for a bit longer as I know that Flem and Dan wanted to enter.

b) Final Results to be tallied directly by the judges and results announced by them directly.

c) Are people ok if I throw in a story - there are independent judges and the authors' names are removed. Should be ok but just thought I would ask.

d) Can the judges please email me - so that I have your contact email addresses.

e) I will leave it up to the judges how many stories they want to publish.

f) This is the Scoring Guide I am proposing Judges to give their input as to what changes they want to it:

Preliminary Scoring Guide as follows:

Scores out of 10 for each section unless otherwise noted:

Beginning (out of 5): Does writer engage the reader's attention immediately? Is tone, setting and characters established quickly?

Characterization: Are characters believable, well-rounded? Actions and interactions
consistent and well motivated?

Plot: Is the story interesting and compelling to read?

Style: Is writing fresh and free of cliches?
Is there a strong/creative use of the english language and a compelling writing style?

Mechanics (out of 5): Is grammar and punctuation correct?
Spelling accurate?

Strongly disagree with this tbf. I'm nowhere near good enough to pull off a style like that but everyone from Shakespeare to Cormac McCarthy would get 0 points here. I think the 'strong/creative use and compelling style' takes care of this category.

And I'm in as well.

I'll come up with something given the word count is minimal. It'll no doubt be a little weird though.

Satisfied with Criteria for Judging.

Would like to note you get extra points from me for having a crisp outside shell that crunches when bitten but with a soft middle that falls apart in the mouth almost negating the need to chew.

Good luck.

p.s. footballs in the groin encouraged.
