The Top Ten Thread

I thought this might be interesting. The idea is for every topic, you list your top ten, pretty simple.

First topic: Jobs/careers

For me, it would be...

1 - F1 driver- exhilarating, glamorous. Every boy's dream, surely.
2 - Fighter pilot- the same reasons as above basically, it was hard to split it. I love racing too much though.
3 - Travel filmmaker- something I've always been fascinated in, being able to travel the world and be adventurous with food, culture etc.
4 - Journalist- as long as I end up well respected, this will keep me happy (I am studying journalism at the moment). Cricket, MotoGP and F1, I hope.
5 - TAG commando- freak fitness, widespread reverence and most likely some huge adrenaline rushes.
6 - Football manager- Southampton preferably, would be great to be so involved in sport.
7 - Groundskeeper- gets you close to the cricket.
8 - Director- something I might be headed towards seeing as I am studying media. Great experiences relating to screenwork so far.
9 - Video blogger- some sort of internet fame which earns you a lot of money would be interesting to say the least.
10 - Game director- working for a company such as Rockstar would be such a hilarious experience, and I have always been a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto games.

Worst- I used to work as a labourer, didn't enjoy working on site too much although I did like the physical side of it.

Well I am going to sound boring my top ten will just be differentiated by the firm I would be working at.

So basically a marketing manager (which I have been in the past) and then I would just make a list of my fav companies in order.

Only thing I would prefer to do would be being a professional cricketer. But then i think most cricket fans would pick that.

No jobs you used to dream of having as a kid? Also, playing cricket for a living would be great in some regards but there would be an incredible amount of pressure in this age of professionalism.

Professional gigolo

In the mid 80s I knew a very ambitious but very stupid woman who set up an escort agency catering for all variations on the theme and, having a rather higher opinion of myself than was justified I signed up - I only ever got one booking (could have had a few with blokes but I've never batted for the other side) - it was with a woman who I was going to accuse of having seen better days, until I realised she was the age I am now, but I digress - the job was to accompany her to a charity dinner and I was paid £20 for the evening plus of course a free meal and drinks - my boss told me that any other services I might choose to provide were a matter for me to negotiate. She wasn't the worst looking woman in the world, and I needed the money, so I spent most of the evening working out what my tariff was going to be. Anyway come the end of the dinner, and having calculated what my very reasonable charges were going to be, **** me and she turned to me and said "I've got to go now as my husband is here to pick me up, here's a fiver for your taxi home" - to add insult to injury I was actually miles from home and the cab cost £15, so I've stuck to the law since then.

On a more serious note I'd fancy a crack at Mr Z's job

F1 driver is every boy's dream?

Yeah, what I've always wanted to do is drive a car. Either F1 driver or cabbie. School bus driver also a top career.

Glamourous as it gets.
