It's fake. I'd put good money on that. The light and shadow just look wrong, but I can't quite put my finger on exactly what gives it away.

![]() Something about the whole campaign doesn't quite agree with me. Charity is about helping people that in unfortunate situations, but all of the noises coming out of Kony 2012 are about how evil the guy is. What kind of a charity bases its appeals around a hate figure? |

It's clear that a majority of people who are jumping on this are people who have given it no critical appraisal for what it's worth. Reckon it wouldn't do anyone any harm to look into the whole situation a bit more.
Still think on the whole it seems like a good idea though, but there are a lot of things that they've left out in the video. |

Something about this whole campaign doesn't sit well with me either. When I initially watched the video, I sort of thought "well any way to increase awareness about such an issue can only be a good thing etc.", but I'm not so sure now. Who knows what kind of a backlash this could bring about if governments are pressured into taking overly aggressive action (which apparently is not without precedent). Admittedly I don't know much about the history of this conflict, but surely it is being massively oversimplified here? The whole concept of setting a time limit and projecting all energy towards a single man (and labelling the campaign with his name etc.), when the overarching issue/s must be incredibly complex just doesn't seem right to me. Obviously the man is a complete nutjob and needs to be stopped as soon as possible, but at the same time you can't help but think there could/should be more levelheaded ways of going about this. I thought he was consistently India's best batsman, and his ton in the ODI last week against SL in Hobart was one for the ages.
Good on him.
