This is bankrupting the whole country. Some 10B less in tax receipts for the government last year. My sister moved up from Chch 4 months ago - she will be following this news closely. I will pass on Flem's report to her which she will take in with great interest.

Thoughts most definitely with those in the Christchurch region, such terrible timing for another earthquake to strike and likely to set back the recovery yet again. I'm sure everyone in New Zealand knows at least a bunch of people who live in the area and its so sad to have them experience these earthquakes, particularly at times where joy and festivity is meant to dominate.

Awful news. Thoughts go out to all kiwis and in particular those in Christchurch.

Horrible timing. All the best to the CWers and their families living in the area. I hope you get some respite sometime soon!

Glad for him he has moved. Thought he was in CHCH at the beginning of the year. Yes the Dong is a kiwi - we are proud to have him in our midst. But he lives in Aussie or at least used to at this time last year. |
