New Year Eve Celebrations are so highly overrated and so ****ing annoying. I do not understand what is so important on 31st night that needs so much fanfare and celebration especially with all that booze. Everyone is in mad rush to get to some kind of party for 31st.

So ****ing pissed off right now and don't have the guts to say this to my wife.

    Party pooper.
Every 5 years we have an election and have to decide who are the least obnoxious out of all the men. Then one gets in and they age really quickly. Which is always fun to watch.

Catching up on missed lectures and christmas shopping between now and Christmas day.
Boxing Day - New Year's Eve will consist of essay writing at my dad's after the traditional town Boxing Day rugby match.
Home for New Year's Eve for a night out with friends etc.
Have absolutely no plans for 2012 yet, have no January exams so don't even know when I'm heading back to Uni. Jan 29th at the latest, will probably be considerably sooner than that though.

I am a miserable **** and proud of it - ambition this year is to go from the evening of Friday 23rd to the day after Boxing Day without seeing another living soul - pretty confident I'll succeed too

Nah Fred, I'll pop round on my way home and we can go to PFC.

Also, for once I agree with Sanz (omg), New Years is such balls. Just means town centres everywhere get descended upon by endless crowds and hordes of drunk plebs. I don't want anything to do with it. Call me a kill joy, but Mrs Sledger will be back in her native land, and so I have absolutely no incentive to do anything other than sit at home with Pater and Mater and watch whatever ****e is on TV and drink their wine. There is much fun to be had in baiting Sledger Snr about the content of said TV too. I obviously live a very fulfilled life.

Yeah everyone celebrates famous days of every religion in their own way in India like this:

Islamic festivals - Mutton dishes and Briyani
    Christian - Lots of chicken
Hindu - Lots of sweets and dairy products that leaves your stomach feeling ****ing weird for a week at least
New Years and Sundays - Alcohol

Dairy products in Pakistan cause problems, don't know about India though.
