The BBC have shown a documentary about British Pakistani men grooming young British girls as sex slaves.
As someone who hails from that community, I feel extremely ashamed and horrified that there are guys like that who are involved in this crime.
Has anyone else seen the programme, and what are your thoughts on this issue.

How is it racism, when there is clear evidence, that these ****s are Pakistani.

The worse part is that when a White guy or even another Asian happens to have a genuine and mutual love affair with their cousin, sister, etc the same people who do this stuff resort to honour killings.

In every 4 out of 5 court case (for this crime) a Pakistani male is involved.
However they did say that 80% of sexual crimes are committed by Non-Asians.
So Pakistanis are mainly involved in grooming vulnerable white girls. They go after the young ones because of the naivety and attract them through Alcohol, flashy cars etc.
And also because they wouldn't dare do what they do to white girls to girls from their own community.
Yeah.
The documentary also mentions that as more attention this crime is getting in the media the more the local Pakistani community is getting involved and trying to tackle this issue.
For me, the truly sad aspect the child trade is that it takes girls being victims to get any attention despite the market for boys being much bigger. People are still shocked to hear of boys being sex slaves at all, let alone getting them to acknowledge that there are more of them involved in it than girls.
Not to trivialise the problem but a big factor is the perception of consent and control over the situation. Both boys and girls who are genuinely forced into it, kept prisoner, etc. are looked at as pure victims so that's fine. Once the exchange of money/gifts happens, though, perception changes swiftly and sympathy all but disappears; girls are still powerless/were coerced/etc. but boys are bilking the poor paedophiles to pay for their dirty drug habits. Sad but true.
Getting people in power to admit boys are being trafficked in the first place is hard enough, getting them to acknowledge the degree of victimisation of these boys is another, exponentially tougher proposition altogether.
