I can't wait for the day when I can stroll down to the corner store and buy a pack of smokes, half a dozen beers and a 'tinny'. I know it's not going to happen anytime soon, but a man can dream can't he?

Can already do that here. Tinny is slang for a can of beer in the UK iirc.

I hear cans of beer (often the cheap ones) referred to as a "tinny" in Australia too... I've heard people say it when pretending to be a bogan
