If we could actually travel there - and it was habitable there would be a heck of a political battle about which countries were going to get to use the resources.
People would be sticking flags all over the place and be claiming this that and the other.
Well we can't travel there and I very highly doubt we ever will even send a probe there let alone actually get there in person. My guess is that 600 light years (while 'in the neighborhood on a galactic scale') will pretty much always be beyond the capabilities of the human race. And if we did somehow manage to do it, our society, technology, culture (and likely even biology) would have to be so altered from what it is now that the notion of nations and planting flags would probably be irrelevant (no doubt replaced by other issues). It would be like cavemen worrying about how they were going to find animals to make their clothes if they ever lived on the moon.
Anyway, the important thing to wait for is an atmospheric analysis. For all we know, it could be like Venus with temperature at 700+ Kelvin.

do you think i could get a job there
Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?
With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left
In any case, it's of course still worth knowing about this planet even if we can't ever go there. I didn't mention the temperature to see if we could fix it, but if there is any possibility of life as we know it being possible there.
Will be interesting to see atmospheric studies.

Predicting Earth 2 to be nowhere near as good as Earth.
Earth 3 to be terrible and released direct to DVD. Earth 4 to have production halted midway through due to lack of investment.
I'm always suspicious of shops that sell bait.
High resolution pic. Not sure if its an artist's rendition or whatever but I don't see any land mass in the pic. Are they usually not visible at that distance in pictures?
This was a serious post:
Am happy with this Earth itbt. Would cost me too much money to transport all my belongings 600 light years away.
