Icon13 CricketWeb Industrial Relations: A case study

Former valued CricketWeb staff member f00lins, or Adamc as former forum heavyweight )swing( refers to him as, doesn't often post much anymore. Maybe it's because he's too busy hoarding confectionery for the impending Global Confectionery Crisis, or more likely it's because he still harbours bad blood and a great deal of resentment over his sudden and untimely dismissal from the CW staff.

F00lins was a committed and enthusiastic member of the team, filing match reports (which he took great pride in) and positioning himself as James' 'go to' guy. Any bits and pieces James wanted taken care of, f00lins was the man.

This all changed when without warning, James swung the axe on f00lins cutting him from the position he took great pride in. The official reason given by CW spokesperson Archie Mac was that he wasn't responding to emails, a claim which is refuted by f00lins and his management, but it would probably explain why his Junk Mail folder had a sudden influx of emails.

f00lins, still hurting from the axe, decided he had cried too much over this pain, so a couple of years ago he tried to re-enter the CW fold when he put forward an impressive resume in an attempt to secure one of the much coveted moderator positions. He was once again rejected, a blow which he still is trying to recover from.

This thread is not supposed to be a mud slinging exercise against James or CW, instead it's an avenue to get the forum's forgotten man's story across. That day he got the tap on the shoulder will always go down in history as a dark day for CW, but we just hope this thread will provide some form of closure for f00lins as he still tries to come to grips with the decision.

Thank you.

It was tough, confectionery supplies suffered for a few years in the wake of my axing. Fortunately my plight drew attention to the pitiful state of labour law in Australia and helped topple the Howard government.

Not happy about being mentioned in the same breath as Rodgie though.

Corrin also sacked from staff.

A (no) class action seems warranted.
