Official Exams Thread

No begging for study tips. If you are unable to study, welcome to 99% of society. Mass suicides only in this thread.

Also, high school exams do not count. Anything I can pass without studying is not an exam, it is a light bull**** factory exercise.

So, how is the forum feeling this time around?

My first exam is on Wednesday. Not very prepared.

Good luck to you mate . First exams are always the hardest since you don't know what to expect and don't necessarily have the 'hang of it' just yet. You'll do just fine. Main thing is to go in with confidence and if you have to guess, make a guess confidently (which usually whatever the first answer choice you glance at and 'looks right', or if its not multiple choice, then your initial method/guess for solving the problem - over thinking something you only have a vague idea about rarely works out well.)

I have a set of exams in about three hours as well - I've taken too many to count but it's funny, no matter how many of them you take, you can't get over being just a little bit anxious every time.

Haha, I can't have been clear enough. Meant my first exam for this semester.

If you were talking to Teja (I don't see why you would want to but if you were), WAC.

Ah . My bad, your post did make it seem like it was your first set (ever) at the uni level. Though I have to disagree about high school exam - my physics high school exam was kind of tough. I totally flunked it too. Though in my defense, that was prior to my uber-science-nerd phase - didn't REALLY get interested in that until uni when I started learning about relativity.

Ashamed to admit I have very little intellectual curiosity about geology (not something I admit often ). Sort of like Engineering - I understand theoretically why people are fascinated by it, and totally appreciate that people are indeed interested in a pretty important field, but I just don't get it . Can't say the same about 80% of other majors.

As long as you're enjoying it though....that's pretty awesome. Science is science, can't beat that.

You planning on going further (PhD, etc)?
