Melbourne Cup - Post tips here
Ok peoples...its time for all you 'once a year punters' to lay claim to being the best ever punter.
Now I used to think that I was pretty much the man to go to when it comes to betting on the Melbourne Cup. I have not picked a winner since I was old enough to put my own bets on. Who does everyone tip?

even though its still a few days away, im going to back pentastic i think. at the moment its at 17/1 but i like its chances. im looking for a couple of others to chuck in a trifecta and im thinking the following: Mamool, distinctly secret, mummify and maybe zagalia.
but my tips usually change by race day. |

To the victor, the spoils.
To the loser, the glue factory. Get a horse to understand those simple rules and you've got your winner.

Well im going for the 3rd win in a row...
Last year i nailed the trifecta but this year is going to be alot tougher.... I like Mummify's win in the Caufield Cup, but i also like the lead up form of the Cups King Bart Cummings horse, Frightening..... As for a 3rd one in there i think ill go with the Irish mental case Holy Orders... For a bit of Value ill go with the old fox Mr Prudent... |

I wouldn't say that Sim, This is without doubt the weakest Cup field for quite a few years, and with such a light weight it will be a relief for him from carrying high weights as he does usually... |

Pentastic had a fantastic run today. If its wet marc, put some money on him. Im sure blewy will back this claim up. All's he needed today was another 10 metres and he had the win, but it was a good 2nd. Hes looking good for the cup on tuesday.

I will say Pentastic had a brilliant run today, but the question now is how will he back up after it...
I would also like to say what a great run it was today from the other Cup hopeful Big Pat, I can't remember the last time this guy won a race but today he was back to his best and at the perfect time, if its wet he is a BIG show... My final tips will be out Monday Arvo... |
