Thousands rally in Pakistan for girl shot by Taliban

As I said before, if there is one positive that can be taken from this horrific incident, it's that the public opinion in Pakistan might be growing toward confronting these monsters. The vast majority always was against the Taliban, but was afraid to voice their opposition and was against military action. I hope that we are unifying as a country in removing this menace once and for all.

Imran Khan says Taliban's 'holy war' in Afghanistan is justified by Islamic law

Sigh.

Nah:

"The efforts to spot dark plots and enemies under every bushel have found fertile soil in a population already poisoned by a school system that promotes bigotry against other religious groups, by a media that lionises murderers in a chase for ratings and by politicians such as Imran Khan and his PTI who pal around with men who openly support the Taliban and their vicious ideology.

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

Imran: I will pick a gun and fight the US with Taliban

"I love Pakistan, but now where do I go for justice? Is there a court of law that will compensate me? No. I would pick up a gun now and fight. And who will I pick up a gun for? The Taliban. I don't like the Taliban. But I will join them, because that is how I will seek justice"

Imran: No threat to Pakistan from Taliban idealogy

The militants themselves, who behead supposed spies and drive out development workers or teachers, are increasingly unpopular. Yet Khan calls the violence a "fight for Pashtun solidarity against a foreign invader". He insists "there is not a threat to Pakistan from Taliban ideology".

PEWS, still assume the same thing?

I've seen both those articles before; I was under no impression that Imran was anything but a political loon, but his supposed recent comments do take things a step further, and the headlines don't quite match the quotes.

The headlines make it sound like yellow journalism at best.

Taking things completely out of context.

I don't understand why he thinks the Talibs are not a threat to Pakistan, when they have killed so many Pakistanis.
