Can you connect two things that would usually connect with a LAN cable/RJ45 socket, with something wireless, that isn't the wifi network?
Had a mare with my laptop last week. Got a pair of Bluetooth headphones on the cheap, and whilst the laptop will recognise they are there, it wont actually let me configure the sound to play through them. Doesn't help that the laptop wants drivers for them, and there isn't any.
They work wonders with my iPad though, which is really what I bought them for.

My PSU is obnoxiously loud. Is there anyway to regulate its fan speed or just buy a less **** one?

Problem solved; I slotted in a solid state drive and did some funky work with the partitions.
Now I can quite literally call Murphy a **** within 15 seconds of pressing the on button.
Help please, chaps.
I'm currently attempting to install Steam on my work laptop (can't contact IT support for this one), but keep getting the error message: "error 1325 : <filename> is not a valid short filename", which then aborts the installation.
I'm pretty sure the reason behind this, is that the laptop is configured to sync all of the folders to the work network when I sign in, and that if I disable this function, the installation should go through ok. Pretty sure I did this before, but just can't remember how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated.
