Neil, do you know if Year 8 have any matches this year?
    There's only one Darren Gough!

Yeah, there should be about 6 or 7 games, plus Cup (so that's one then..) I believe the opening game is supposed to be against Yarborough on Thursday May 9.

Separate note - How do you think you could cope opening the batting as the team really does need a stabilising influence and your batting appears to be as dull as the (great) Chris Tavaré's, and collapsing was a major issue last time out. I think Nick could really benefit from batting 3 as well.

Separate note II - why can't people consistently turn up to practices?! Ottley, Treadgold, Bowman not there this week ! It does not particularly impress. I think Jack had a valid excuse though

By the way, tell Methers I'd really enjoy opening the batting.

I need a proper run 'cos with Caistor 'A' I come in a number five and there's only about five overs left by the time I get at the wicket.

I just read about the bit on leaving balls on off stump. so you DO bat like Glenn McGrath then!

I wish that my batting was as good as Glenn McGrath's...

    No Apostrophe!

Their batting is very fragile (even more so than the Year 8 team, I'm sure you've heard about that over by now) - so a calm innings (more than likely in partnership with Matthew "dull" Broughton) will stand you in good stead for the rest of the season.

How did CTCC do last night?

How badly? Come on, I want some details, especially if Ian got a duck/hit to all corners, given the sarcastic remarks he's been making about my playing ability this year...
