The Very Last Of The Summer Wine
Yes the world's longest running TV (37 years) Comedy show ever is coming to an end this sunday. I've watched probably 100+ episodes of this show and I've only ever genuinely laughed twice yet I love the show, there's something beautiful about it. And even though the show has done the same thing for every episode (with a handful of exceptions) it still appeals to pretty much everyone.
YouTube - 'Last of the summer wine' theme - spoken by Bill Owen The Last of the summer wine, The blossom soon begins to fade A lonely bird High on a hill sings "Autumn's on it's way." The memory of summers gone, Like passing shadows cross my mind, Reflections of the yesterdays, That made our summer wine. The misty hase of golden days, When we were young, That heavy groove of fining love, And love passing on. The Last of the summer wine, The sweet bouquet of memories, When days were long and nights were warm, I still remember these. We laughed and loved maybe too well, The best layed plans of yours and mine got left behind, High and went too fast, Just like our summer wine. Those shadows grow longer now, The leaves start to fall, I still feel the warmth of you, But most of all... This cup of life of ours we drank, Now grapes are fewer on the vine, So let us toast the vintage years, The last of our summer wine, And always remember this, The promise that I made to you, This summer wine of ours my love, Will last a whole life through.

Your thread is missing a photo of an old man careering down a dale in a bath. An image synonymous with Last of the Summer Wine.
Who remembers the short lived First of the Summer Wine though? Similarly crap.

Like the aging family pet that constantly pines annoyingly whenever your trying to watch TV, and ****s on the carpet every time it hears a loud noise (the doorbells had to be unplugged), its finally been taken out the back and peacefully shot.
Good ****ing riddance IMO.
