Future NRL players
From what i've seen there have been a number of rookie players this season who will be at the top of the pile in a few years time:
Brett Firman (St George/Illawarra) Billy Slater (Melbourne Storm) Benji Marshall (Wests Tigers) Kurt Gidley (Newcastle Knights) I'aefita Paeleasina (NZ Warriors) There are probably quite a few that i've missed but those are the ones that have stood out recently. Apparently the Warriors have unearthed an awesome 5/8th by the name of Marcus Perenara but we'll have to wait & see. |

Its worth noting I'aefita Paeleasina made his premiership debut in 2001 against the Northern Eagles. He is no rookie.
He has the making of an awesome prop. Already at a such a young age he is devastating with some of his runs. His only problem is fitness. Its rare to see him see out 10 minutes in one go...

I can say right now that the Tigers have alot of Top young players...
In all my years following the Tigers/Wests i have never seen our club in such a strong place... Some of the young guys have already made their mark by playing 1st grade, whilst others will in the next season or 2... - Benji Marshall - Dean Collis - Dene Halatau - Gray Viane - Bryce Gibbs - Rob Farah - Luke Covell - Ben Roberts (Young 5/8) - Liam Fulton As a Tigers fan i must say im looking forward to the next few seasons...

I agree, although we have had a good record against the warriors...
I don't exect us to win but then again everytime we play against a top side we seem to play out of our skin, if you guys take us lightly we will punish you.... |

You're right the Warriors do have a poor record against the Tigers, but they've played very well against the Broncos & Roosters and with Stacey Jones coming back its a big ask for the Tigers..I hope they show up for a good match.

blewy, tigers are ****, they are this year, they will be next year and will be for the next 5 years. yes im writting this in a rage after just seeing that fat little bastard riddell land a fluke penalty goal in the 80th minute. But honestly, the fans of all 15 teams thinks their side will make the finals every year, only 8 will. and in the near future tigers wont be 1 of those 8. Basically they have bought washed up players that never were. I cant see them making an impact till benji marshall is 25.
and thats my rant for now |

LOL Sim you wouldn't be ****ed cause your team is going to be one of those that miss out on the 8 are you...
:P Like i said the Broncs are on the downward slide and us Tigers will be there next season when the tough gets goin... Oh as for your washed up players theory... Scott Prince - Halfback which all BRONCO fans are spewing they have lost.. Ben Reynolds - Would be starting half at Penrith if Gower weren't there... Scott Sattler - Yes he is old but is one of if not the toughest men in League, He will lead us next season.. Todd Payten - Strong prop which Roosters wanted to keep but had to release due to salary cap... Brett Hodgson - Last Seasons State of Origin Fullback... Nick Graham - Only released from Cronulla cause Anderson felt like destroying the club... So as for washed up players that never were, i guess that theory goes out the window, and the fact that your the only person i have heard from that reckons we bought crap, shows what judgement you have... Now thats my RANT, and as Reg Regan says, "Go and get Stuffed" :P :P

As a biased Storm supporter (and I openly admit to it) I would say Kirk Reynoldson, Cam Smith (who played Origin), Billy Slater, Dallas Johnson, Ryan Hoffman, Matt King (with a wannabe Willie Mason afro) are all players of the future.

At least blewy, your not Rabbitohs supporter, I think we're all glad. That is a club with no hope at all. They are biggest bunch of no hopers ever.
It will be a long time before they become a threat again. |

Brett Hodgson - State of Origin player last year, has done nothing since, cant play first grade for a side not even in the top 8.
Pat Richards - WAS a good player before he got injured, must be the slowest winger in the comp now. Scott Prince - One of the world most injury prone people, Would probably break a leg putting the washing on the line. Ben Reynolds - a decent player in reserve grade. Scott Sattler - We all know fowards arent at their best when they get to 32. Nick Graham - Washed up player that never achieved anything anyway. Shane Elford - Former centre trying to make his way in the fowards, waste of money. Todd Payten -Great player, the best one you guys got. not bad, 1/8 is a good get Last edited by Simon; 08-09-2003 at 01:24 AM. |
