I was thinking the same. Like The Dark Knight deserved a separate thread because of the amount it was discussed, same goes for Inception.

A mod please merge all the Inception posts to this thread. Spoilers will be allowed to discussed freely here and is for those who have SEEN the movie.

tbh, is the first movie I've seen where the whole cinema crowd has let a simultaneous groan sorta noise at the finish.

    EDIT: before volteh/craigos

OK - so thanks for the note that we can discuss the ending.

I have no clue why there needed to be three levels to the final dream. Why couldnt they have just had him talk to his father at the first level of the dream.

My second issue is limbo land. All you had to do was die and you got released from limbo land. It wasnt that much of a big deal.

Those gripes aside - I liked the concept. I liked the fact they used the girl from whip it in the movie.

Worth my $10 or whatever I paid.

There were multiple dreams sequences and then multiple dreams in the last dream of the movie, was always going to be hard to explain. Not an english major etc...

    Fine...ok...

Also how did people keep falling asleep throughout the movie at the drop of a hat. Realise that they took drugs when they were on the plane...but for the first few dreams they weren't on drugs?

Epic is the most overused word going around nowadays. But it actually perfectly describes Inception.
"I am very happy and it will allow me to have lot more rice."

Eoin Morgan on being given a rice cooker for being Man of the Match in a Dhaka Premier Division game.

The movie explained that for an idea to be implanted they had to delve into a deeper level of sub-consciousness in order to ensure that the victim thought it was an original idea.

And limbo land was a big deal because you could begin to believe it was reality

Don't think the ending was a dream because the artefact started rocking didn't it? In a dream doesn't it spin constantly? And there were scenes throughout the movie where it fell, so don't think that supported SS's theory.

Some reviews of this movie are ridiculously stupid also. You don't have to think it's the best movie ever, but if you reckon it's crap you shouldn't be paid to write about movies.

I think the multiple dream levels were explained by Eames when he said the only way to implant an idea deep enough to take effect is if you get it to reinforce itself within the subject's subconscious.. and the only way to do it was to plant the germ at level one, and then let Robert self-reinforce it by fighting off the projections at a lower layer on his own to break into a safe with the idea that his father had a message for him.
