Sizzler vs Black Stump vs Outback Steakhouse vs Lone Star vs Hog's Breath

A difficult question, and one that's caused mankind problems for years.

Which one, and why? Feel free to nominate favourite food from any and all.

For me, Sizzler cheese bread, and Black Stump prawns wrapped in bacon.

    Critically evaluate and discuss.

Lone Star for sure; really love the place. Quality steaks, ribs and burgers but I think it's the Amarillo cheese fries and brownie desert that really puts it clear ahead.

    Yeah, Lone Star.

Partially because it's the only one we have here as far as I know. We had Sizzler, but it went under IIRC.

For the record, think Hogs Breath is about the only one which still operates in Victoria. And it's horrid, wouldn't go within a hogs breath of it.

    Never heard of Lone Star.

Hog's Breath shouldn't be mentioned in the same... breath as Sizzler and Outback Steakhouse though. A lot of them hire very average staff that are paid a pittance and you can get some truly terrible food as a result.

Only been to Hog's Breath and Sizzler, with the sizzler visit being ages ago, would have to say Hog's Breath. The Slow Cooked steak is decent.

3rd person to say this but pretty sure we only have Lonestar in NZ. It's pretty good though imo.

Is it even the same Lone Star in Aussie? The one in NZ actually originated in Christchurch, I believe.

Sizzler I recall as a child, I believe all Victorian stores went under. I believe they were heavily into those all-you-can-eat deals, quite like Pizza Hut (who have all but collapsed as restaurant chain too).

There is one Pizza Hut all-you-can-eat remaining in Adelaide but the quality is terrible. In the CBD of Melbourne it's bit of a tradition of ours to go and have a pizza off at that store everytime we go on a footy weekend. Other highlights are the soft serve that gets forced down even when you are certain nothing more could possibly be eaten and the finely crushed ice they put in your drinks.

We have a Hogs Breath and Sizzler on the Gold Coast. Only been to Sizzler, I found a piece of hair in my meal and handed it back, but my appetite was ruined after that.
