Haven't played it in ages but remember that winning a point was an achievement. Virtua Tennis is incredible.
Remember getting a ferry to France with my Dad and playing Virtua Tennis for nearly 3 hours straight. |

Is such a gun game, always preferred the original to the second one though (Jim Courier ftw), not played any of the more recent incarnations. Really fun and addictive stuff. Tommy Haas absolutely killed on it as well, anything that set up nicely on his forehand would dissapear for a winner.

I remember some of the epic games we had on Virtua Tennis though, where we became so good at the game that it was actually easier to break serve than to hold it. Pretty much meaning winning a service game was a "break point". |

IIRC the original only came out on the Dreamcast, the controller for which was much better suited to the game than the PS2 one, imo anyway. Found that playing it on the PS2 for too long would give you massive hand cramps, particularly if you had to fight out a series of very long points in a row.

Have the 3rd on PS3 though. Haven't had the hand cramps issue as I just own everybody within 3 minutes

Pretty sure we invented the slow bouncer which is now popular in twenty20, just waiting for spinners to start using it now. |

I remember our great test matches on Cricket 2004 where you could put on a spinner with the new ball and bowl out the West Indies for about 12. Good old days. |

Stupid games those, Remember actually trying to play a test was an impossible test of patience, that power button was just so tempting. |
