Checked out the song mentioned in the article for the lulz ('We Don't Apologise for America'). Literally the first line is "no nation's lost more men than Uncle Sam/ from the fields of France to evil Afghanistan." Firstly, wow, secondly; I think Russia has a few million up on them...

I'm pretty sure just about every major combatant in WW2 would have a few up on the US, save for us (but we don't count).

I think I read somewhere that blighty had officially lost at least one soldier overseas for centuries, wish I could remember the actual year, but yeah, we're cool like that.

haha, very sore point. Someone I know is a Korean vet, said that after a while, a lot of other 'allies' would simply stop fighting alongside the US grunts because they'd panic and fire wildly in an attempt to just make it all go away. Claims he never personally saw someone killed but heard about quite a few and did notice the edgy behaviour.
