As a Democrat, I am disgusted with President Obama | Jeff Jarvis | Comment is free | theguardian.com

an interesting article, except there's one point which is hilariously off-base: the idea that obama could possibly lose significant amounts of votes because of this

With Nidal Hasan being nutted this week, interesting to read the report into the FBI's handling (read: lack of) of his intercepted comms between him and Anwar Awlaki.

    So this happened.

    Untitled on Vimeo

For the lazy, Anthony Weiner confronted some bloke in a bakery after the guy called him a scumbag and it got childish real quick. What's interesting is that initial videos reported on news sites cut straight from Weiner buying his food to the argument and missed entirely the bit where this guy made a crack about his wife being an Arab. The above is the full video.

IMO Weiner is a smart guy who did a couple dumb things but I like how he handled himself in that video. Despite the stigma that will follow him around, no one has the right IMO to try to embarrass him in public like that.

In my opinion Shane Warne is the greatest cricketer who's ever lived - Ian Botham

Warne is the greatest cricketer to pick up a ball ever.

Fascinating article, making a point/argument I hadn't really considered before.
