The other side to the GOP SuperPACs:

The Incredibly Dumb Political Spending Of 2012

The upshot of it is whilst the Romney SuperPACs have a lot of money, a lot of them are run in a fragmented, disorganized manner by stupid people who don't have much idea about what they're doing. A lot of wasted money isn't much more than a lot of wasted money. It may explain why the Republican convention - which was accompanied by a barrage of ads - had much less impact than expected. Also, Romney's financial advantage may not quite be as it seems.

EDIT: And the Stewart clip is probably his best of the year, IMO.

On the flip side, the lone Obama Super PAC has been extremely effective with limited resources .

Yep. One thing that hasn't changed from 2008 is that Obama is the master of running a very tight, focussed ship when it comes to campaign strategy.

Papa bear Clinton was on the daily show last night.
    Awesome as always.
For as long as there is limited overs cricket - of ten, twenty or fifty overs - there will remain the Sri Lankan spinners' mid-innings choke

GOP Candidate Wants To Eliminate Department Of Energy Because He Saw Officials 'Sitting There Reading Books' | ThinkProgress

I really hope he meant that people were sitting around reading 'Us Weekly' or something, but considering his past stances, I wouldn't bet on it.

The worst part isn't that guys like that are comfortable in their ignorance, it's that they're so damn confident. Exacerbating that is the fact he's in a decision-making role.

Mitt Romney Calls U.S.A. a 'Foreign Country' in His Tax Returns - Washington Whispers (usnews.com)

It's obviously a stupid mistake, but hilarious nonetheless considering he does have foreign accounts.

Could you imagine what would happen if Obama had this? The right wing wouldn't let it go for decades. It would be proof of whatever conspiracy theory they wanted to believe in.

This would be only bad for Romney if the voting public could catch it.
I would set the odds at 60% that most voting Americans saw nothing wrong with this question.

The officially-approved narrative about Benghazi is falling apart and some are getting testy about the questioning of it using the time-honoured trick of bagging the media for doing their job.

Not that any of this matters in terms of the election, pundits are more interested in pointing and giggling at Romney's latest cluelessness sound/video bite. Obama must be thanking his lucky stars his opponent is so stupid, no ****.
