That was my first thought as well.

My car is clearly parked on the Moon.

Yeah. I contacted the company who the debt collector was acting on behalf of and the account had an address listed that I've never lived at. It was attached to a bank account that kept bouncing the payments, which makes me wonder wtf the company was doing allowing the account to accrue more and more debt.

Found a very interesting book on continental political philosophy amidst loads of religious dross in the library today. Probably the only guy in history to sneak out of school to go to a ****ing library.

Finally had some free time this evening after weeks. Was hit by a sudden wave of motivation. Bowled my arm into the ground. Walked a lot too. Painfully crashing back to planet earth now. Not sure if made or ruined.

Started going to the gym again for the first time since the summer of 2011/12 where becoming obsessed with cricket for the next 8 years ruined my Zyzz-like aspirations.

Not that it was going to be difficult, but already stronger than i've ever been. Feels weird.

    Made

Quit smoking for a week by tonight. Not as hard as I thought i’d be. Probably helped by quitting sugar, carbs and doing 24 hour fasts for the last 3 weeks lessening mixed craving related stress.

    Well done!

IIRC Furball's the man for advice on quitting smoking. I knew we kept him around for a reason.

Thanks man. It really helped to focus on the day-to-day pains of smoking rather than the spooky long term perspective. I just kept reminding myself that I don’t want to - smell horrible, lose the ability to taste the finer textures in food, waste a bunch of money, have darkened lips, constantly run out of breath and importantly, be the sort of person who can’t focus on/enjoy anything for more than an hour without craving a smoke.

Furball's contributions around here recently have legit been much better than previously. I am happy to take credit for his upturn in performance.

Simple thing whilst volunteering in a shop today, some of the customers were extremely friendly. One of them even went of about how volunteers are great and how they're like an army. Small thing, but uplifting during what can be dull work at times.

Edit: I'm loving Teja's self-improvement stuff. Great work mate

Ruined: just got home from work. Done roughly 90 hours over the past 7 days including the weekend and diwali, and that doesn’t include travelling time to and from Jakarta for work. Totally spent and there’s no end in sight.

Had a couple of chill months before this period, was like a calm before the storm.
