Given that with this horrible electoral law the centre-left still has 53% in the upper house, there are two possible scenarios:

1- An alliance between PD and Berlusconi (for a new technical government). First thing Berlusconi will want is a legal 'free-pass', impunity for all the trials he's involved in (Monti's government fell when B. was condemned for corrupting a judge), and special conditions for his medias. Then he'll use his media to make the PD looking like emissaries of Satan, blaming them for everything (while still voting the proposals), so that in 1-2 years time, when he'll make the government fall, he'l be sure to get again a 40% of consensus. Not worth it.

2- A short 'based on program' alliance between PD and Grillo; election of the new president of the Republic, a new electoral law, and a new 'conflict of interests' law to shove up Berlusconi's arse. Then new elections with Grillo probable winner (which, given the similarities between some aspects of his party and another older one which ruled Italy for 20 grim years, I'd say it could be a catastrophe for Europe. Could)

Let's not forget that 30% of italians are still willing (and forever will) to vote for a pedophile mafioso corrupter that doubled our national debt while putting his mates in control of national assets (like Alitalia) and is always blaming everyone else for his failures (Germany are the last ones, he, a libertarian 'what's mine is mine' in Italy, expects them to 'share a fair bit of their wealth' at european level). Problem is, other parties are not much better (though they would at least care a little bit for Italy), and the anti-politic movement is based on some of the most incredible bull**** you'll ever see.
