Nice, planning on doing the same myself (sans fiancée) at the end of the year or early next. Heading in any particular direction?

Made everyone else's
For 12 months from mid-July I'll be posting very rarely.

Ruined
Not much, though the next two months are going to be pretty hectic while we get things sorted.
Sounds like fun. Everyone wins!

Well we have to be back in the UK for a few days in mid-December so that will split it into two legs. The rough plan for the first leg is the Trans-Siberian from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar, down into central China and out to Tibet, then through Nepal, Bhutan, Northern India into SE Asia.

The second leg I reckon will be something like London down to Spain, east through southern Europe, through the middle-east to north Africa and then top to bottom of Africa overland. All very long-way-down-ish, but without the bikes, the camera crews or the inherent cred that comes from being Ewan McGregor.

Things could change, obviously, as there's every chance we'll make up a lot of it as we go. The general aim is to concentrate on places neither of us have already been.

Cool, hit me up when you are on the right side of either Windhoek or Johannesburg, depending on which way down you come..
