RUINED:
Went to the memorial service for my old boss today. He was a hell of a man and ran the rec center I worked at under him for 5 summers very well. Took a lot of crime out of the community by starting so many sports leagues, redoing the tennis courts, and adding two roller hockey courts. He spent 30 years in the Department of Rec and kept himself in such great shape he was still playing in the city wide softball leagues around the city right up until before he contracted ALS at age 56. I think it's such a shame to see someone who spent those 30 years building up 3 different communities in the city and working for so many of the people that lived there to go get such a horrible disease. It's just been a weird and sad day. He was the best boss I ever had, and he kept a great work environment as well. Such ashame for him to go. I kept my composure as best I can during the service (one 300+ people attended) but pretty much all my old co-workers, like them or not, we're crying up a storm. I think it's just an early bed tonight to try and get it all out of my mind and try to move on starting from tomorrow. |

Very sorry to hear that Spudsy.. Sounds a great bloke whores a wonderful contribution.
Made First day of cricket season. Dropping down the grades to mentor a younger team, who now know wjat GAGF means. After waiting til the last game of last season tho hit his first ever four in under 10s, my young bloke walked out to bat today and crunched the first ball along the carpet through covers for a boundary. Great stuff. Cricket seasoneams out of the house all day each Saturday. Epic win.

Made:
- Found what is easily the best bet of my life this morning. Suresh Raina most runs for Chennai in the Champions League at 500/1, if the little tacker salutes that's half a honeymoon paid for (or a quarter of a bucks' night). - Probably got some Centrebet hack fired in the process. They've had some cracking stuff ups the last few days. Ruined: - Got home to my new quilt set which the missus just sent over. It's pink. With flowers on it. FML.
