I dont know. The thing about unforseen circumstances is that they are unforseen.

How about, gets lost and separated in a crowd? gets locked out by accident? gets accidently left behind at school and not on the bus? the nanny has a heart attack? falls down a well? etc

There could be a million reasons that we dont worry about as there is little point in stressing over them but it pays to be prepared.

Goughys right, we should just give them all a pocket knife and some matches. Then they'll be right.

Back in my day, we didn't have cell phones. And we didn't have 'talks' with our parents either. Their love was implied, through belts and closed fists. If someone kidnapped us, our parents would use that time to go on a vacation. Bunch of sissies, this generation, FFS.

Anyway, yea I'd give my kids those phones that can only dial out to some numbers. When they grow up (say teens, maybe 12 or 13), they can have their own cell phone for personal use.

    This phrase scares me slightly.

Why? Maybe a poor choice of words but at 5/6/7 it is there for parents to keep track of their kids and use it in panic times when there is a separation rather than the kids have it for their own ends. It is a tool for the protection of the child.

I blame the parents for the softness tbh. I got belted pillar to post when i did something wrong...and i turned out fine....my kids will be smacked for their indiscretions...unless my wife says no...then she will be smacked...with sexy results.

I didn't have a mobile til I was 25 (3 and a half years ago). Just got it so my girlfriend could keep in touch really. Nowadays most of the time I use it is for media interviews/articles for the Scrabble.

I'm not morally objecting, it's just a creepy little phrase.

At least it means you're not one of those parents who trails around their kids on leashes.

    Made:

Decided to try out pencil sketching after 2 years. Was very bad at it last time I tried. Surprisingly good atm.

    Ruined:

I have not seen my bro in 3 years. Told that he would be coming to India this month some time back. Just told me that he would be able to make it only on December. ****.
