Sounds alright for an emergency though

Whoa. The compounds in China generally just had houses and a gym, pool and clubhouse. Definitely no school. That's freaky.

SS, is the one you're talking about of that ilk owned by Disneyland? Creepy as ****.

Ruined

RFB;

"Ricky Ponting's Cricket 2005, med trundles in off 5 paces and bowls a short ball at 55Km/h. Next ball is full and straight, same action and run-up, 154Km/h, middle peg nearly impales slip.

Ah, now I remember why I hate this game so much....

*click*"

**** you, Codemasters. Lucky this game cost me all of $5.

Best game ever. Can only score effectively cutting and glancing though.

Finished off my survey and in pre-test stage. Will launch it on CW on Tuesday, hoping to get a good crowd.

Nah, places like this. Depressingly, it's becoming increasingly common everywhere, including the US.

Designed to protect people from the 'big bad outside world'? People need to HTFU and stop being so paranoid if that is the case.

Hilarious they think they can relax about their child's safety because everyone knows each other. Just makes grooming easier if you're a kiddie fiddler.

EDIT: haha, love the talk about child safety but not a seat belt amongst them in the car.

What about the part where they were looking for beggars, or the part where their maid is not allowed to leave the compound and has her room inspected? Ridiculous. That documentary pissed me off so much.

Made

Work was good, just orders and cleaning the shop etc

Had first go at driving a box trailer. Was going well until I lost sight of it (sloping downhill) so I had to pull her up there. Still good fun, good skill to learn.

Ruined...badly

Found out that mum can check who I'm texting and when I'm texting/using net etc etc from my phone on the optus site. My lifes basically over. If you knew her, she doesn't give two ****s about my privacy and tries to read my texts and whatever at any chance, now she'll end up asking who everyone that I text is.

While I can definitely see the argument for them existing in an expat setting, there's considerably less reason for them to exist in other places.
Main reason is security and there's a massive market for those types of communities in many places

There are a lot of schools in South Korea situated at the bottom of or adjacent to high-rise apartment compounds too. I haven't seen your Youtube link yet so I don't know how they compare, but from my point of view it's not necessarily a bad thing. It would certainly be a positive for parents who do long commutes to work and can't drop off/pick up their kids.
