Marriage
I am 27 now and it is an age around which most Indians get married. The more I think of it, the more I don't see the point of marriage. I am living a happy life working 8-10 hours, watching movies, reading books. Another person in my life will mean attachment and space I have to give that person which I just don't have in the scheme of things the way my daily schedule goes.
Regarding an emotional support system, I really don't need it. I am happy the way I am ALONE. There is no pressure from my parents to marry. My father in fact is fine if I don't decide to marry. But I am not comfortable with this trend of every one marrying in the end. Single lives aren't that bad, hey. |
