Marriage

I am 27 now and it is an age around which most Indians get married. The more I think of it, the more I don't see the point of marriage. I am living a happy life working 8-10 hours, watching movies, reading books. Another person in my life will mean attachment and space I have to give that person which I just don't have in the scheme of things the way my daily schedule goes.

Regarding an emotional support system, I really don't need it. I am happy the way I am ALONE.

There is no pressure from my parents to marry. My father in fact is fine if I don't decide to marry. But I am not comfortable with this trend of every one marrying in the end. Single lives aren't that bad, hey.

I just don't see the point of marriage. There surely must be some point since so many people do marry.

Can just picture you checking your diary when someone asks to marry you.

Anyway, the institution of marriage has more to do with social stability than love. If you're happy not marrying and there's no pressure on you to do so, then I don't see what the problem is.
