    Numbers or letters?

What did you prefer at school essay writing subjects or those that involved number crunching & calculations.

    I was always a math/account student first.

Writing - by a long, long way.

Got 17% in Calculus in my last year of high school. Scaled up to 35. Love the bell curve.

Letters. In English, I am just naturally good, but in Maths I don't understand it at all.

I'm sort of in between really. I've always achieved higher in writing than with numbers but I'd say I have an equal interest in both.

Where it gets interesting is when you start talking about foreign languages, because many people seem to think that numeracy skills help with language learning, which to me at least, blurs the way in which learning them should be approached.

As part of my work and study these days it's all about numbers, but I think I'll always have a very strong love of words.

Never really could distinguish between hain and ho, just like mitosis and meosis (?). Also it didn't help hindi was not my mother tongue, and that I used to speak more english and my mother tongue (still do) much more than hindi.

Writing for me by a long long long long long way. Apart from counting out change and working out rough odds in poker I'm completely mathematically ********. I dropped maths and science after completing the School Certificate.

Got in the top 100 of New Zealand in a Maths test when I was 15 but I completely lost interest after that besides cricket number crunching. Never had a problem with either but I far prefer English these days.
