    RIP Pete Postlethwaite

    From the BBC.

Very sad news. One of our most respected actors and star of Brassed Off, The Usual Suspects & The Name of The Father passes away at only 64.
Cricket Web's 2013/14 Premier League Tipping Champion

    - As featured in The Independent.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

Sad indeed - one of the finest surnames known to the English language - memorable portrayal of Giuseppe Conlon in In The Name of the Father

He was a brilliant actor. I think I would have first seen him in either Alien 3 or Last of the Mohicans, but his role in Martin Chuzzlewit on the Beeb was the one that showed he was an actor of exceptional talent rather than just a character actor.

Indeed. Another cult hero of mine passing away after Pete Postlethwaite. Bad week, it seems. Did a number of really good songs in his solo career.

Single handedly responsible for everyone mispronouncing my surname however, much as I liked his work.

Surprised no-one's mentioned Postlethwaites turn in Sharpe, oozed sheer venom in that. Fantastic actor, will be much missed

Talk about true hero's. Only recently read the book, though saw the TV show a few years ago. Pretty much everyone states how he was the platoon

was buried alongside Michael Jackson I hear
And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
