    RIP Tommy Smith. My mother likes to recall whenever a Liverpool player would be badly fouled, her father would say "don't worry, Tommy will get him" and sure enough, he would. My second favourite quote about him is Bill Shankly saying "Tommy wasn't born; he was quarried."
