    RIP

Transformer is one of the truly great things and an album that I have known for pretty much my entire life.

Lewis Collins has apparently departed this mortal coil at 67

Famous for starring alongside Martin Shaw in that pretentious bollocks "The Professionals" - not what I remember him for though - whenever his name is mentioned I think of that old sitcom the Cuckoo Waltz - he was quite good in that but what I really remember was Diane Keen - now she was a sexy lady

He was very good alongside Michael Caine in Jack The Ripper. Storyline was crap but well acted.

His death has caused nation-wide grief here. Well, at least among 30+ population. The Professionals were extremely popular, it was one of the few western tv shows bolsheviks allowed to be aired. Tough english cops driving on the wrong side of the road and that amazing intro tune! I remember that my dad's boss at that time was nicknamed Cowley

Slightly more notable than the one above, but Portugese footballing legend Eusebio has passed away at 71

    Vale. One of the greats.

No age nowadays either. Hadn't heard he was poorly, so could've been sudden, I suppose.

    - As featured in The Independent.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

Yeah, didn't mention it on the BBC lunchtime news, but on the site it said he'd been hospitalised a number of times with heart and respiratory problems over the last year.
