Worlds Problems- What is Your Dangerous Idea

Ok, from my 'Changing the World' thread.

What are the problems the world faces? and which are biggeest challenges and how can we fix them?

Anything ranging from population explosion to terrorism to statsguru usage.

Im interested to see how people rank the issues.

    Chelsea FC the obvious one.

More relevant, less serious answers to follow.
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

Fluoridisation. Contaminates our precious bodily fluids. Should only drink rainwater and grain alcohol.

Personally, I think the world would be a better place were it more open-minded. I don't think people question their own opinions and beliefs enough. That's the only specific change that comes to mind that I'd like to make.

    Lack of seatbelts.

Was having a "discussion" about this recently, about whether they should worn or not. Statistics vary between 40 and 60% effectiveness or so, but they all indicate that seatbelts save lives. What's the general consensus on here? What's the justification for not wearing a seatbelt? Is there any?

Surely the idea of compulsory voting undermined democracy...or something.

There is no justification for not wearing one. It is illegal in most places and they save lives. Yet I seldom do. Hard for me to reconcile that in my own head so I dont expect others to understand.

Well if we really want to see a flame war then let me add multi-culturalism and see how mature people can be

    Awta.

Take a look back at a small period, say the last 20 years and there's a stupid amount of war and deaths attributed to it.
Now multiply that by at least 100 and you'll see how big an issue it's been.
