    Moving house is damn aggravating.

Once everything is loaded into the van and it is on its way to the new house it's fine, but everything up to that point, especially packing everything up and watching the loading blokes get everything into the van, is awful.

One of those things that you just can't wait to be over.

Maybe it's a south Indian thing but we have this tradition where people give money to the newlyweds on wedding day. And without fail, the loudest mother****ers also tend to be the cheapest mother****ers. But taking aside the servers and telling them bot to serve dessert to idiots who you don't like is fun though during the feast.
I am proud of this post.

How good is the summer fruit in Australia? Am sitting here at the desk munching into a container of fruit I brought in from home for lunch. Fresh watermelon, rockmelon, peach, nectarine, plum. ****ing fantastic.

I always happily contrast it to the abject horror of what passes for a fruit salad in England. I recall being there in May 2003 for work, staying at an expensive hotel on the Aldwych and visiting the breakfast buffet to be met with a "fruit salad" consisting of mealy apple, woody banana, bitter orange and an obviously imported, pale piece of honeydew melon devoid of flavour. Sort yourselves out ffs. No wonder you lost an empire.

TBF hotel food is probably awful everywhere around there - doesn't matter how much you are paying, the likelihood is your a tourist doing the West End and are unlikely to be eating in much. Used to get housed in The Strand Palace, which laughably claims to be 4*. Food was pretty much inedible, and woe betide if you want breakfast at 6am.....

Mate it was truly awful. Compare it with, say Mirage Port Douglas breakfast buffet. The hot brekkie was fine, just they would have been better off leaving the fresh fruit part out altogether.
