I'd like to be in Paris right now, sitting courtside at Roland Garros, with a botttle of really good champagne, some oysters, strawberries and chocolates.

Be bloody brilliant I reckon.

You can only do all those things whilst they're still in vogue.

Is it dickish to wear your own cricket jersey to a party? Conversation starter surely, especially in a place where noone knows what cricket is.

Dear NP,

Thanks for your question.

no, it isn't dicky if it's a generic cricket-style jumper without a logos and has a nice narrow coloured stripe around the V-neck. And it's clean. I would never wear it unless it has nice cables either. A plain, non-cable knit jumper with "Gray Nicholls" on it screams "dickhead" at a party. It's the sweater equivalent of Ugg Boots. Just no.

And I'd only do it if it's the right type of party, casual and preferably one in day time set outdoors. An informal Spring garden gathering, say, in a yard. Would most assuredly be dicky at night tbh.

So "yes" if it really resembles a cream cable knit jumper. Otherwise I wouldn't. But ulitmately it's a matter for you.

It would always be very dicky if you were in any country where cricket is played, as it would look like you don't own other clothes, and women tend not to think that's very attractive.

Nevertheless, white (and indeed cream) isn't always an easy colour to carry off so, as always, accessorise properly, and don't try too hard.

Regards,

GQ Burge.

Hmm, the party is definitely outdoors and during the day but I should mention the shirt in question is blue and has a small logo above the left breast. Not to mention a giant number 3 on the back.

Still not dickish?
