Look mate, if you end up with **** all over your hands, you're accountable.
At least you can claim you got some ass when your fingers slip through the toilet paper
What a pleasant thought that is.
Sat using my laptop, flatmate (**** off Cribb) asks to borrow my ipad as she's manage to break the screen on her laptop. My first thought is "What am I going to use as a mousemat now?"
Kinda dawns on me i've basically got a £600 mousemat. Bar crappy timewaster games, I can't think what else I use it for.
(yes, I have an optical mouse, but it works best on a flat surface, which when I'm sat on my bed, my duvet isnt)

Why do you have a laptop is really the question you should be asking.
Last few places I've lived at I've not really had room for a desktop, and the laptop allowed me to do work when on the train (or more likely, get paid to watch films). The latter being the same justification I gave for buying an iPad when I was commuting via train, all I did was catch up on TV shows I missed instead.
Got no beef with having a laptop over a desktop, but ipad's basically do everything you need boi. Basically never use my laptop these days.
What if you work from home though?
Microsoft Surface trying to combine laptop and tablet, whereas Apple deliberately banking on the fact that consumers will have both laptops and tablets.
Reckon Apple will turn out to be right. Don't think the laptop is going anywhere.

Well when I do work from home I don't do major stuff normally, so I use my ipad to connect remotely, although if I do need to pump out something substantial I will use my laptop just because the keyboard is easier to use. But as I said it's very rare.
I just use my laptop to download series these days, but usually I'll just watch online with my ipad.
Yeah fair enough. Totally depends on the amount you require your keyboard imo. I personally don't see laptops going anywhere, unless of course someone has a desktop at home and then uses a tablet for their mobile work.
When you say you connect remotely on your iPad, its not slow? Presumably you are connecting into your work's database.
Not slow at all, and yeah connected to the work server.
There was an upgrade to the system done half way through this year and it's lightning quick now.
