Let's just say I don't react too well to fait accomplis that would involve either radically changing my lifestyle or completely ****ing up my degree schedule. I imagine few people would be in a great mood after being handed one of those.
The thing is, what the other person said just now wasn't even intentionally related - not knowingly, anyway - but it was just the wrong thing to say, and yeah... difficult. edit: although perhaps fait accompli is the wrong term, because i'm pretty sure i'm not having a bar of it.
