And apparently Bin Laden is dead. The US has the body (according to my impeccable White House sources).

Ten years... never too late I guess

EDIT: Apparently so and all my US "moles" are seeming to confirm it.

My contacts within the House Intelligence Committee have confirmed it is so.

I don't believe he will be widely mourned.

Even if they were able to achieve complete energy security from sources not including Middle Eastern oil, keeping the Muslim world from ever uniting suits their geopolitical strategy. Might be waiting a long time for the US to leave the Middle East.

Rather lucky I didn't decide to go shopping after my university lectures today and chose to come home, tornadoes aren't really my thing:

Yeah, that was insane. I didn't think NZ ever got actual tornadoes.

Seeing some of the footage and pictures of the damage, I have to say it was really lucky only one person was killed.

The Naki is actually a really good spot condition wise for them. Had one a couple of years back, but I wouldn't expect an Aucklander to notice.

I've just realized :

Having a lot to do at work can be very frustrating.

Having nothing to do at work can be even more frustrating.

Haha, I did hear about that one, but what I meant was the ones we usually get are small and restricted to one or two streets, or at the very most a suburb. We don't usually get tornadoes that go on a multi-suburb rampage.

Mine was one of the suburbs this one passed through. I've been at work, and I'm about to head home now - not sure what sort of damage I'll see.
