Must Watch Indian TV

What are the must watch Indian TV shows in your opinion?

The ones I can think of in order of priority of me -

Chanakya - I am obsessed with him. I have read his book (English translation) and another hindi book on him called 'Jwalamukhi Ke Phool'. Have watched a bit of this series and it is superb.

Bharat Ek Khoj

Tenali Rama - 10-12 episodes but all very good

Dekh Bhai Dekh - Best Indian comedy show ever IMO.

Malgudi Days - Haven't seen any of it but should be excellent.

Ji Mantriji - Farookh Sheikh is awesome in this Indian lincensed version of Yes, Minister. Was too high brow to be successful for the mainstream audiences and the show flopped. Don't think I will ever get my hands on the tv show again.

Flop Show - Jaspal Bhatti is simply awesome.

Tamas By Govind Nihlani

Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne

Kakka Ji Kahin

Byomkesh Bakkshi

Ek Ruka Hua Faisla

Maila Anchal (TV Series based on the same Book by Phanishvarnath Renu, both the book and TV series are excellent)

Karamchand

Neem Ka Ped

Zabaan Sambhal Ke

Office Office

Bahadur Shah Zafar

Param Vir Chakra

Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi

Humlog

Waagle Ki Duniya

These were just I could think of and I grew up watching. Most of them very educative, entertaining and very well made. I miss the Door Darshan of Old. It was the best.

Used to like Chanderkanta as kid.. not sure if i'd enjoy it anymore.

Chanakya is really good show... i have the complete series..liked it alot.

Office Office was great as well...
