    Blue Ray v DVD

What's your thoughts on this? As blu-ray prices continue to plummet will DVDs end like it's predecessor the VCD? The quality difference is huge and so is the space difference 25 gb v 5 gb.

Of course they will, eventually. Pretty sure something else will come along a few years later and cause the death of blu-ray too (Probably Uppercut, once he develops a d- nah, nevermind). That's just how it works.

    BTW, edit thread title please.

In the amazon sales figures, in the top 25, 12 are blu-ray and are dvds. A sure sign of things to come imo.

Depends what i'm watching. Something that isnt much action i'll just pick up cheap on DVD, as its more plot rather than picture quality. Something that really deserves visual indulgance i'll get on Blu Ray. The difference is noticable (only downside is my surround sound system isnt blu ray, have to rely on TV speakers for now untill I get off my butt and wire it all to the PS3)

It'd be hilarious if that happened and the post you read was:

DVD. Don't have a blu-ray player and don't plan to get one for at least a few years.
