132 after seeing a few more, unfortunately it appears a couple I've seen have been bumped from the list. Will see Up and Inglourious Basterds soon

I bet no one else has seen a new entry to the list The Big Parade. It is a great silent movie which shows the futlity of war. One of my top 5 films of all time. It is coming on TCM Asia this month. LOVED the film.

143 with most of the Kuroswa films and other asian films I haven't seen coming up in my course this semester. Also have a few in my collection I haven't seen yet, still procrastinating Gone With The Wind.

    33ish.

Seen bits of a lot of them, like Tarantino ones I tend to watch for half an hour without paying much attention to the director, after that it's pretty much sunk in how ****ing ****-tinglingly bloody unbelievably ****ingly **** **** **** the director is. It's like Barcelona playing with Jeremy Clarkson up front.

205, but the list has changed since the last poll. I think I have seen almost all that are available at the DVD store or are in English and are not a cartoon movie.

Listing movies for personal reference on a public forum? OK Pratters, you're busted for dupe accounting.

I've just watched Lost In Translation and learned enough life lessons to ignore that comment.

How we doing people, I've 181 watched with a couple lined up, still my main failing are forn Language stuff, cartoons and unabashed weepies.

City of God, almost always seems the one I should watch most..

It's a bit skewed towards more recent and English films but it reflects the general audience. If nothing else, it's a decent start.

Stuff like Harakiri, Le Samurai, High and Low, Andrei Rublev, Le Trou, etc., are invariably going to find it harder to get on there because they just don't have enough eyes on them.

The fact that it is made up to look like a ranking is what hurts the brain.. Forrest Gump is the 13th best movie of all time.

Whilst I disagree with a lot of the list, I don't think it can be called bad, necessarily, it has a reasonably decent mix of classics and stuff that just is enjoyed by millions. I prefer it to say a top 100 voted by critics alone one, or one just decided on box office. i mark all the star wars, Matrix and forest Gump poorly in the top 20, rest I'm pretty happy with, even if I wouldn't have the Dark Knight as high.

Hmm, I swear it didn't used to be.

Just checked and yeah, been a strong push in recent years for Gump to move up the ranks.
