Vijay Singh...this guy I used to respect but since that comment he made about women golfers I have lost all respect for him.

I can't agree more. i was hoping he'd lose.

Out've the four who were really contesting it on the last day, i was gunning for tiger, i thought it'd would've been great for golf for him to get his dominance. However Curtis is a worthy champion, to only just qualify and to have the belief in his game to try some of the shots he did was wonderful.
You must feel for Love III i thought over the 4 days he was the most consistent, just a lapse in concentration early in the day.
Bjorn also got sucked in playing out've the bunker on 16, shame Aussie TV didn't show it live.

Ben Curtis was 1000-1 before play started on Thursday - and you could still get 50-1 when he started his round on Sunday - this for a guy who was joint third.

I think the best round was Faldo and Fulke on Saturday - both shot 67.

What a fabulous tournament. That's how it should be - just one player breaking par on a really tough course.

According to Newsround , there wasn't a single major bet with any of the big betting companies in the UK on Ben Curtis :O

Good on him and I'm with you LE, much more interesting when the best players keep on messing up and their absolute ability is tested and they have to think about their shots instead of doing basically the same thing every hole.

RE: Vijay Singh

The comment he made regarding the fact that women golfers shouldn't take away places for men in men's tournaments whilst still playing in their own?

What exactly is there to stop men playing in the womens' tournaments now?

They can't have it both ways...

Annika coming and challenging the men was good for golf, a man going to dominate the women isn't.
that's what's stoping her, the good of the game

Whereas a woman can now (arguably) play in men's 'Open' competitions, the reverse is not true, nor can it ever be.

You see, the ladies tee boxes tend to be a lot further forward - and the men are not permitted to play off them - even male 'hackers' have to play off the men's tees (not necessarily the tournament ones).

I heard this, I don't know whether it's true and I apologise if it isn't but I heard someone say golf originally was derived from:

"Gentleman Only Ladies Forbidden"
