Indeed he did, caused a bit of a stir when he allowed Revolution to feature in a Nike ad

Well all I know is the weekend Jacko died will always be the weekend my dog Trillian died.

Which isn't a plea for sympathy, but more a reflection on different things affecting people in different ways really. No-ones wrong but we should just respect each others grief I guess. For everyone slagging off MJ's prominence others are doing it to Lennon (which meant infinitely more to me).

Blimey only on my second Stella and I'm getting maudlin and talking pointless ****.....

Aye. Wept like a bairn when my folks' last dog passed away. Deepest sympathies; hope she didn't suffer.

I do like this quote from Jackson:

"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars," he told a biographer, J. Randy Taraborelli, in 1995. "Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say."

With all the stuff written about him throughout his life it is difficult to separate truth from fiction.

I liked this article too:

The dark side of Michael Jackson in turmoil | The Australian

Following his death Jackson as expected is dominating the UK Charts. 43 singles in the Top 200 - unlike Presley and Lennon he doesn't have a new single out at the time of his death (Presley "Way Down" and Lennon "Just Like Starting Over") so it's all old tracks. Also 11 albums back in the chart including Number 1 - coincidently entitled Number 1's.

6600 domain names have been registered for Michael Jackson on Godaddy.com since his death.

Also, The Simpsons will be paying a tribute to MJ before tonight's episode. The show will re-air the music video for "Do the Bartman" (that Jackson wrote himself) and show a title card in memory of MJ before Sunday's episode.
