No chance of it happening now when my knee's ****ed. Also, the weight of the thumb is pressing down heavily, and there's no chance she'd ever get stuck into a cycle round Europe.

Why did it fail at the time and was never resurrected? Well, I went to university, travelled around in more orthodox ways for a while and then ran out of money and was forced to get a job. You know, the usual.

Would also love to have a proper tennis tournament with all the competitors in SirBloody_Idiot's Tennis Thread, with everyone turning up "in character", so to speak.

    • Make lots of money to train for said Ironman

(BTW it is a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and 42.2km run all in one day, but I'm a masochist)

HDS that idea would be awesome. Bowenburg is a rather odd character though.

Most of us are in that thing. I don't think it will be possible for me to replicate my Tennis alter-ego's serving ability though, which the write ups always lead me to believe is pretty good.

Met a young (18-19) English bloke last year when I was out on the Silk Road in China who had been cycling from England. Had a bit of a chat with him, sounded like an awesome thing to do.
